Free and Reduced Meals
State and Federal Regulations state that last year’s Free and Reduced-Price meal applications are valid only for the first 30 days of the new school year. If a new application has not been submitted within this time frame, last year’s applications are no longer valid and the child(ren) must go to full pay status. So don’t forget to fill out your Free and Reduced Meal Application. Forms are available from your building offices. ONLY ONE FORM PER FAMILY IS NEEDED. Last year’s free and reduced application will expire on Thursday, September 30th.
Bayless Offers Online Payment Option for Student Meal Accounts
New this Fall—parents will be able to make online payments to student meal accounts through the SISK12 parent portal.
How do I gain access to the SISK12 Parent Portal?
Any parent/guardian who has an email address and returns a completed “Parent Portal Agreement” to school will be emailed a username and password which will provide access to the Parent Portal.
Where do I get a Parent Portal Agreement?
The Parent Portal Agreement is located on the Bayless School District Website (http://baylessk12.org) under the PARENTS section. The agreement can also be obtained from any school office.
What if I do not have an email address?
There are many free email services anyone can use to set up an email account. Do an online search for “free email account” to find and select an email provider. Here are a few of the most used free email providers:
1. Gmail – http://mail.google.com
2. Hotmail – http://mail.live.com
3. Yahoo – http://mail.yahoo.com
Once I have access to the SISK12 Parent Portal, how will I make a meal account payments for my student?
Beginning August 2010, you have another option for making meal account deposits other than by sending cash or checks to school with your students. Bayless is now offering parents the option of making meal account payments online for all your students through the SISK12 Parent Portal. Directions and screen shots which will guide you through the online payment process are below.
Please note: Online meal payments are processed through Paypal however, you do not need to have a Paypal account in order to use this feature. You may use a credit card, debit card or a Paypal account. When choosing any of these options to make online payments, an additional non-refundable service charge from the online service agent applies as follows:
